The first day of competition openned with a stage that was the reverse of the second prologue. With wet conditions, and despite organizers' repeated warnings about conditions, four vehicles were lost on the first stage, and the stage was cancelled. Nobody was severely hurt. The field, however, was split, so it was decided to regroup at the Holyrood start. So, we waited.
